AC Milan could revive their interest in Alejandro Balde following injuries to Pervis Estupiñán and Alexis Saelemaekers.

The Ecuadorian defender suffered a left knee injury involving a minor tear to the medial collateral ligament. While Estupiñán is not expected to face an extended spell on the sidelines, the situation regarding the Belgian is far more concerning. Saelemaekers requires further surgery and is likely to be sidelined until February 2027.

Balde was heavily linked with a switch to Milan last summer, and a potential deal could now materialize during the January window.

Mundo Deportivo has already reported that the 22-year-old Balde could seek a move in the winter transfer window due to limited playing time. Such a departure would be welcomed by Barcelona, as it would provide crucial funds to secure a new central defender following Andreas Christensen's injury.

Balde's current contract with the Spanish champions runs until the summer of 2028, with the full-back valued at around €40 million.
