7 albums by Nigerian artists turning 10 years old in 2016

If you remember bumping to D'banj's ‘Rundown Funk U Up’ or 2Face Idibia's 'Grass 2 Grace', the fact is you are old. These songs were released almost a decade ago.

Pulse Music presents a list of notable albums released 10 years ago.

“Grass 2 Grace” – 2Face Idibia

2Face Idibia‘s “Grass 2 Grace” album was released on December 8, 2006. The album features some of his popular songs like ‘See me so’, ‘True love’, ‘No shaking’ and ‘4 instance’.

“Rundown Funk U Up” - D’banj

D’banj’s second album “Rundown Funk U Up” was produced by Don Jazzy. ‘Why me’ which was the lead single from the album won the singer several awards.

“Return Of The King” - Eldee

“Return Of The King” was Eldee’s sophomore album. It contained songs like ‘I go yarn’ and ‘Champion’.

“Independent” - Faze

This “Independent” album featured songs like ‘Kolomental’, ‘Kpo kpo dikpo’ and ‘Tattoo girl’. The album was Faze’s second solo project following the split of Plantashun Boiz.

In 2006, Modenine released his first album “E’ Pluribus Unum “One Amongst Many””. Before this, the rapper had previously released two mixtapes.

“No Drama” - OJB Jezreel

OJB Jezreel’s club banger ‘Pretete’ was off his 'No Drama’ album.

“Expressions” - Styl Plus

On February 2006, pop music group Styl Plus released their debut album, "Expressions". It featured tracks like ‘Imagine that’, ‘Iya Basira’ and ‘Hadiza’.
