The All Progressives' Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP), New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) and People's Democratic Party (PDP) won the 2023 governorship elections in 28 states.

The April 15 conclusion of the Adamawa and Kebbi governorship elections has drawn the curtains on the governorship contests of the 2023 general elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted the elections in 28 states, excluding Nigeria's remaining eight states that have off-cycle governorship elections.

The All Progressives' Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP), New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) and People's Democratic Party (PDP) were the only political parties to clinch victories across all the states.

When all governors-elect are sworn in on May 29, 2023, APC would control 20 states out of the total of 36, followed by PDP with 13, and APGA, LP and NNPP with one each.
