Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State is confident that the current Central Working Committee (CWC) of the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will win future elections in the state.
Governor Ahmed made the switch from the APC to the PDP alongside Senate President Bukola Saraki on July 31, 2018.
Speaking in Ilorin while receiving the newly inaugurated CWC in his office, Ahmed explained that "with the timber and calibre of the people that make up the party executive, the victory of the party is guaranteed".
Ahmed saluted the maturity displayed in handling and tasked the new executive to work hard in order to contribute to good governance in the state.
He added that the peaceful atmosphere that greeted the harmonisation process further confirmed the politics of inclusiveness the PDP is known for.
He also allayed fears of all members and promised that no one will be marginalized; while enjoining all members to close ranks and work hand-in-hand to ensure that the PDP forms the next government in the state in the coming elections.
