The Nigeria Football Federation have denied reports that they yet to pay the match bonus of the Flying Eagles who are currently playing in the 2015 U-20 African Youth Championship in Senegal.
Secretary of the Nigeria Under-20 team Aliyu Ibrahim Auwal said that all of the FLying Eagles' match allowances have been paid and the bonus for the final game against Senegal will be in his custody by today.
“It’s not true we are being owed, all our bonuses have been cleared as I speak to you, now we are in town shopping,” Aliyu Ibrahim is quoted to day by The Nations Newspaper.
“The only bonus we are yet to get is the one for the final match and I have already been informed it will be given to us a day before the match, so that report is false, as a matter of fact, praises should go to the Amaju Pinnick-led board of the NFF, for ensuring the boys are well motivated for the final match,” Aliyu Ibrahim said.
Nigeria will on Sunday take on host Senegal in the final match of the Africa Youth Championship and a win will give Nigeria a record seventh title.
