The Flying Eagles of Nigeria are through to the final of the on going 2015 African U-20 Championship after defeating eternal rivals Ghana in the semifinal played today at the Stade Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium in Senegal.
The high flying Nigerians scored a goal in each half of the encounter to see off their Ghanaian counterparts and maintain their unbeaten run at the tournament.
Many Garba's men took the lead in the 23rd minute Obinna Nwobodo rose high to head in a cross Captain Musa Mohammed and the effort was bundled in by the Ghana goalkeeper.
The Ghanaians made efforts to restore parity in the game and were denied only by the cross bar in the 32nd minute.
The Flying Eagles however got the cushion goal in the 72nd minute when the skipper Musa Muhammed converted a penalty after a Nigerian was fouled in the 18-yard box.
The Flying Eagles will now wait for who their opponents will be between Mali and Senegal who play the other semi-final game on Thursday.
This will make it the ninth times the Flying Eagles of Nigeria wii be playing at the final of the African U-20 Championship.
