After their victorious start at the 2015 African U-20 Championship, Flying Eagles forward Chidera Ezeh has expressed confidence in beating their next opponent.
The Nigerian U-20 team who defeated host Senegal 3-1 will later today face Congo in their second Group A tie against Congo at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium, Dakar.
A win for the Flying Eagles should see them book a place in the last four and also qualify for the U-20 World Cup.
And Ezeh, one of Nigeria’s brightest star in the competition assured Nigerians that they have put their first victory behind them and focused on how to get the second one.
”It’s good that we started the competition on a winning note but it’s important that we focus on the task ahead,”the Porto starlet told during an interview.
”Our target is to win the next game against Congo which hopefully will help us qualify for the semi-final and also the World Cup.
”Everyone is looking forward to the game and hopefully we shall celebrate at the end of the day,” the former U-17 player remarked.
