Terrorists say US hostage was killed in Jordan airstrike

Jordan began intense military operations against ISIS on Thursday, February 5, after the group released a video of the brutal murder of pilot, Moaz al-Kasasbeh.

ISIS has claimed that air strikes carried out against it by Jordan have resulted in the death of US hostage, Kayla Mueller.

Jordan began intense military operations against ISIS on Thursday, February 5, after the group released a video of the brutal murder of pilot, Moaz al-Kasasbeh.

The terrorist sect has however claimed that 26-year-old Mueller lost her life in a building in Northern Syria after it was hit by bombs from a Jordanian warplane.

"The failed Jordanian aircraft killed an American female hostage. No mujahid was injured in the bombardment, and all praise is due to Allah,” ISIS said in a statement on its website.

The US government has however said that there is no proof to verify the claims of Mueller’s death.

According to the White House National Security Council spokeswoman, Bernadette Meehan the United States is "deeply concerned" over the report but had not seen "any evidence that corroborates" the group's account.

Jordan also responded to ISIS’ claim describing it as part of the group's criminal propaganda.

"We are looking into it but our first reaction is that we think it is illogical and we are highly skeptical about it. ... It's part of their criminal propaganda. How could they identify Jordanian war planes from a huge distance in the sky? What would an American woman be doing in a weapons warehouse?" spokesman for the Jordanian government, Mohammad Momani said.

Mueller was captured in Syria in August 2013 along with a man who has been described by some as a colleague and by others as her boyfriend or fiancé.

She had worked with aid groups in Turkey before being abducted but she wasn’t commissioned by any of them to work in Syria.
