2 inmates take over maximum security area of jail, hold hostage

One of the other inmates was being held hostage by the two "with what appears to be a sharp object," according to the office.

The two inmates took control of the area, which houses 16 other inmates in Division 10 of the jail, after they covered the floor with soapy water and obscured cameras in the area before ripping them out, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's Emergency Response Team was at the jail, trying to "resolve the situation peacefully," according to the release. No one had been injured as of a little before 7 p.m.
