Lagos goes 'Live'

Nigerians have been clamoring for a feature on the platform's Live feature - which posts snaps from a particular city on its worldwide stage - and that response is here.

Snapchat has gradually wormed its way into the hearts of Nigerian millennials and more people keep getting the platform on a daily basis.

The picture and video based social media platform has been on a roll lately, with hugely popular geo-filters and fun features.

Nigerians have been clamoring for a feature on the platform's Live feature - which posts snaps from a select city and beams it to a worldwide audience - and that response is here.

Two days ago, information surfaced that Lagos, Nigeria will be 'Live' on Snapchat today, Wednesday, May 11, 2016.

Nigerians have taken to Twitter and Instagram to express their delight, with many even taking time out to prescribe ideal snaps to be uploaded.

The general idea is to show Lagos in the best possible light to the world and put Nigeria's negative perception to rest, at least to a certain extent.
