Nigerians react to ex-governor's selection as PDP Chairman

Nigerians have taken to Twitter to express displeasure over the party's choice, with many reverting to the allegations of terrorism affiliation that has trailed Sheriff over the years.

 

Nigerians have taken to Twitter to express displeasure over the party's choice, with many reverting to the allegation of terrorism affiliation that has trailed Sheriff over the years.

The ex-governor was alleged to be one of the major sponsors of the extremist sect, Boko Haram in the northeast. The allegation is however yet to be substantiated.

PDP has not released an official statement, confirming Sheriff's appointment as at the time of filing this report.
