The accused, Afolabi Samuel and Blessing Kolawole, were charged to court on two counts of conspiracy and stealing.
Police prosecutor, Abdulkareem Mustapha, told the court that the accused persons conspired and stole N38 million belonging to the church between December 1 and December 15, 2018.
Mustapha said the offence contravened sections 390(2)(6)(8b) (9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against them.
In his ruling, the chief magistrate, Mathew Akinyemi, admitted the accused persons to bail in the sum of N2 million each with two sureties in like sum who are gainfully employed.
Akinyemi ordered that the sureties must reside within the court's jurisdiction and must possess evidence of tax payment to the Ogun state government.
The case was adjourned till February 20 for further hearing.
