District head of Buhari’s village, Musa has been kidnapped
The district head of Daura, Alhaji Musa Umar, has been abducted by four unidentified armed men on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

NAN reports that the kidnappers violently invaded Umar’s Daura residence at 7pm and were sporadically shooting into the air as people around the scene scampered for safety.
It was reported that Umar who had just returned from the mosque, was sitting in front of his house with some people when the gunmen came and whisked him away.
An eyewitness told NAN that the kidnappers arrived in a Peugeot 406 car.
The council chairman of Daura, Malam Abba Mato and hundreds of sympathizers, immediately stormed Umar’s residence, to discuss the incident.
Buharis father-in-law?
Various reports say the victim is Buhari's father-in-law. Pulse is yet to confirm these reports at the time of filing this story.
According to ChannelsTV, the kidnapped traditional ruler is the father of Fatima Musa, wife of Colonel Mohammed Abubakar, the Aide de Camp, ADC, to President Buhari.
Umar was a retired customs comptroller.
The Katsina state command of the Nigerian police force is yet to confirm the incident, telling ChannelsTV that it is still seeking clearance.
Kidnappings for ransom and banditry are rife in Nigeria's Northern region, with security forces often left playing catch up in attempts to curtail the menace.
Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, recently disclosed thatat least 685 people were kidnapped across the country in the first quarter of 2019 alone, with Zamfara reportedly recording the highest national kidnap rate with 281 victims.
The Nigerian presidency is yet to issue a statement concerning the kidnapping at the time of filing this.
