US President, Barack Obama is set to hold a discussion on the fight against Boko Haram with Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, the White House has said.
Obama to discuss with Buhari on fight against terror
Obama will discuss a “holistic, regional approach to combating Boko Haram” with Buhari while hosting him in Washington on July 20.
The White House disclosed this via a statement released on Thursday, June 25, 2015.
"The visit will underscore the United States' ... commitment to strengthening and expanding our partnership with Nigeria’s new government," the White House said in a statement.
Obama and Buhari both attended the G7 summit earlier this month but it’s not clear if the men had a one-on-one discussion.
Meanwhile, the US has said that it will donate the sum of $5 million to aid the fight against Boko Haram.
