Automaker sets new record in 2015 with 19% increase in sales
Last year, Porsche AG sold 225,121 vehicles worldwide, a new record when compared to the 189,849 cars sold in 2014.
The Guardian reports that the automaker sold 225,121 vehicles, which is a 19% increase in the previous record of cars sold in 2014.
While this is every automanufacturer's dream, Dr. Oliver Blume, the Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, is quick to reveal what is important to the company.
“The figures reflect the pulling power of our brand and the appeal of our products which we have launched on the market in the past few years, focusing completely on the development, production and sales of highly emotional sports cars is paying off.
What is much more important for us are customer enthusiasm, return on sales and secure jobs."
Detlev von Platen, member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG, revealed an increase in the sales of the 911.
“This growth, even in a year in which the model was changed, shows the immensity of fascination for the 911 on the markets."
