Is it possible that I'm showing my boyfriend too much love?
What do you do when you're not getting enough love from the guy you love so much?
I really don't know how to explain things here.
I have been in series of relationships and in every of them I usually end up doing what the guy is meant to do like calling, buying gifts, chats and all you could think of.
Most times I sit and think whether the guy really loves me as I do but I really get confused with it.
What do you think about such situations?
That is, one in which you are not getting the love you want from the guy you love so much.___________
Quick one: what makes you think it’s the guy’s duty to call, buy gifts and initiate chats?
Please uninstall that idea from your mind. It is a wrong, wrong outlook to have on relationships and it’ll only cause you to be disappointed at every turn.
Relationships are meant to be two-sided at all times. Efforts being put in by two people, attention being given by two people and acts of love being expressed by… yeah you guessed right, two people!
It is not a guy’s sole responsibility to buy you gifts or call you. And there’s no really no problem with you doing these things. As a matter of fact, you should be doing them!
The only time I’d be worried, if I were you, would be when I’m doing all these things and my partner is not doing his part.
And in a situation where your efforts are really far apart from your partner’s, I think you can only communicate and hope for a change.
But in any case, you need to realise that there are certain people who are fiery lovers and you just might be one of them.
That’s why it’s often suggested that in every relationship, there’s always one person who is always more into the the whole thing than the other.
I do not think there is any problem with being the one who loves harder in the relationship. Insofar as your boyfriend is doing his bit, appreciating all the effort nd not making you feel like a fool, you have nothing to worry about.
So instead of looking for a guy who will do all the work in a relationship, look for one who will give his best to make you happy and appreciated.
If your present partner is not like this and honest communication and time has not been able to change him, I think you are justified to leave him.
