Amazing sculptures made from rice straw
Niigata Prefecture, a Japanese metropolis famous for her high quality rice has found a new and creative way to use the the straw left over after rice harvest.

The wooden frames provide support for the sculptures and allow them to be larger than life in size.
The festival is called Wara Art festival. 'Wara' translates to 'rice straw' in Japanese.
