Scotland's tourism board, Visit Scotland is hiring a dog to "represent the spirit of Scotland around the world."
It gets more interesting with the criteria for the winning canine - potential ambassadogs should have a breadth of knowledge of the "smells and sights around the country," an outgoing personality and a passion for the best walks around Scotland.
The creature will also have several responsibilities that include posting about adventures in Scotland on social media and being involved in Scotland's tourism campaigns, which could potentially include interviews and TV appearances.
Also, though the position isn't paid, the chosen dog (and its owner) will receive a 3-night holiday.
The nationwide search is open to all dogs from all regions of Scotland and they must be current residents.
The deadline for applications is April 6th, and 6 finalists for the position will be interviewed in Edinburgh by early May.
