If you're looking for a place to chill with friends or perhaps you're on the look-out for a new hang out spot, here are 5 gorgeous in Lagos worth checking out.

1. Atican beach: This private beach is located at Abraham Adesanya road, Ajah and offers amongst other things, live music by an in-house band on Fridays.

2. Omu resort: Though a resort, there is still a beach area and several other fun activities on offer including quad biking and an amusement park. There's also a wax museum and zoo.

3. Eleko beach: Another hot favourite, Eleko beach, which is located about an hour from Lekki, is a quieter option than an Elegushi, for instance, but nonetheless still entertaining.

4. Tarkwa Bay Beach: One of the things we love most about this beach is the necessary 15-minute boat ride from Victoria Island required to get here. There's also the vantage view it offers of the Apapa Port and Lagos Harbour, not to mention the general entertainment available here.

5. Elegushi beach: Still one of the most patronised beaches in Lagos, there's never a dull moment here. Elegushi beach is located off the Lekki-Epe expressway.
