In partnership with MCM Worldwide, British Vogue talks with Afobeats superstar Tiwa Savage and they rightly describe her as “the woman at the forefront of the Afrobeats explosion, and whose hybrid musical sound is going global”.

In the video, Tiwa gets nostalgic, talking about the first song she ever bought and how she draws inspiration from other working mothers.

In the video, she says, “In everything I do, whether it’s using my native language, or an African beat, something is going to let you know that I’m an African woman.”
