Suits not only embody maturity but when well fitted, they also show style, and thus they are necessary. In Nigeria, a man in a suit tends to be taken a lot more seriously than the man in just a shirt and pants, especially in a professional setting.

However, the great thing about suits is their dynamic ability. There are so many different suits that can be worn to different occasions. So, these are five essential suits every man should have in his wardrobe.

1.The All-Season Navy Suit

This is the jack-of-all-trades. It works for everything from official to casual looks. Also, the color looks great on everyone. Choose one in light fabric and go for single-breasted, with a two-button closure, and dress it anyway you like. Just don’t ever button the bottom button.

2.    The Khaki Cotton Suit

This is the perfect fit for tropical weather. Khaki's a great color here because it's appropriate for the office and is stylish enough for the weekends. Try them with a solid color long sleeved shirt and a pair of white sneakers.

3.    The Double-Breasted Suit

Nothing spells charm louder than this. No more box-cut and ill fitted three button suits. Replaced them by a more trim, stylish and comfortable cut that fits just about any figure. Make sure not to over-accessorize, as the suit is bold enough.

4.    The Grey Flannel Suit

The grey flannel suit is much more stylish and versatile than it used to be. Get a mid-gray color, add on a white shirt with a black knit tie, and you've got a great professional look. For a casual look, replace with a t-shirt or wear just the jacket and denim pants.

5.    The Tuxedo

Finally, every guy needs a tux. It's an investment towards a great future. Make sure you get quality that will endure. Black is a staple, but midnight blue/cream is great for adventurous men. Go for peak lapels or a shawl collar, avoid flapped pockets, make sure it has one button, and you're good to go.
