IcePrince, who took the Nigerian music scene by storm with the release of his debut single, ‘Oleku’, in 2009, is from PankshinLocalGovernmentArea, PlateauState, but was born in Minna, the capital of NigerState, in 1986. He attended the famous St. MurumbaCollege, Jos, the same school that produced the likes of musical twins, P-Square and NigerianInternational and ChelseaFC of England midfield star, JohnObiMikel.

IcePrince’s debut single, ‘Oleku,’ won him many awards and became number one on many top charts. In 2012, he began frequent collaborations with GripBoizCity producer Chopstix, releasing in the summer of 2012. An accompanying music video was released alongside it. The BET Awards Best African Act winner's new album, , released earlier this month is currently tearing the airwaves.
