Man decapitated dog because it looked at him somehow

A man has been arrested after he decapitated a dog because he said it ‘looked at him weird’. Metro UK reported.

Javier Orelly, 28, is accused of ‘kicking and throwing his dog around’ according to a police report from Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the police, an anonymous caller tipped off officers that Orelly was allegedly abusing his dog by kicking it and throwing it around his apartment on January 14.

The caller said that there was a makeshift shrine in the front of the apartment and believed that Orella was going to kill the dog.

When they arrived at his home they found him ‘digging a grave in front of his apartment’ and next to that was a large black headless dog.

The police report said: ‘Orelly was stressed out and needed to sacrifice animals to cleanse himself.’

According to PBSO, there were two large knives next to the head, a medieval ax and some money on top of a red towel. Deputies say there was also a carving found near the grave with the word "tortura" carved out in large letters. "Tortura" means "torture" in English.

Orelly originally told deputies that the dog had bitten him, but then changed his story and told them the dog looked at him weird so he stabbed it in the neck.

Police also found two large knives and a ‘small medieval axe’ along with a carving with the word ‘tortura’. He described having difficulty decapitating the dog so used a bigger knife and ‘kept chopping the head until it came off’.

The police later arrested Orelly for animal cruelty and possession of marijuana charges.

He’s now been charged with animal cruelty after police also found a dead duck that he confessed to having killed.
