14-year-old Ese Rita Oruru who was allegedly abducted by Yunusa in August, 2015, has left Kano and is on her way to the police headquarters in Abuja.
Rabilu Ringim, spokesperson for the Zone 1 Police Command, told newsmen that a police team conveying Miss Oruru to the police headquarters in Abuja left Kano by road at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
The team, he said, comprised an assistant commissioner of police and other top ranking officers who were travelling under tight security.
The police spokesperson added that Yinusa had also been invited for questioning, and he was currently writing his statement.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Kolawole, also confirmed that Ese had been released to the AIG Zone 1, adding that she would be brought to Abuja on Tuesday along with her parents.
She said, “Ese has been released and as I speak with you, she is with the AIG, Zone 1, Kano. She will be brought to Abuja tomorrow (Tuesday) along with her parents.
“The AIG Zone 1 has taken over the matter. The police swung into action and they are investigating at the moment. Investigation is still ongoing.
“All those involved in the saga would be dealt with according to the law. Any person indicted in the incident will be made to face the law.”

The police spokesperson said Miss Oruru was taken thorough medical check late Monday night to enable her to commence her journey back home early on Tuesday morning.
Nigerians on Twitter insist Yinusa and all those who held 14-year-old Ese Oruru captive for eight months should be punished and made to face the wrath of the law.
