In Holland, the “Ride for Ride” law is now legal; students can take driving lessons from their instructors in exchange for sex instead of cash.

This method of payment is accepted as long as the student is over 18 years of age. The Minister of security and justice, Ard Van Der Steur and the transport minister, Melanie Schultz Van Haegen say that the deal counts only when the offer is made by the instructor and both parties agree.

The ministers wrote in a statement: “it’s not about offering sexual activities for remuneration, but offering a driving lesson. It is important that the initiative lies with the driving instructor, and focuses on offering a driving lesson, with the payment provided in sexual acts. When a sexual act is offered in Lieu of financial payment that is prostitution.”

The country legalized prostitution a long time ago, counting their prostitutes as self-employed citizens who can freely advertise online and in newspapers. These sex workers must get an escort license and pay their tax on a regular basis.

With this progression, it is very obvious that very soon, other independent service jobs like the plumbers, carpenters and pool guys would start requesting for this form of service compensation as well.
