Some tracks however remain forever hot.
One of such songs is Weird MC's smash single 'Ijo Ya' released in 2006 Weird MC had been out of Nigeria for a few years living in England.
When she came back she dropped 'Ijo Ya' as her re-introductory single. The song did its job as it brought back the 'weird one' into the consciousness of Nigerians.
Another important fact about this song was that it was produced by JJC and Don Jazzy who had already moved back to Nigeria a year earlier alongside a fellow known as D'banj.
Thanks to the impact of the track, Weird MC won the Best Pop album at the 2006 Headies. 'Ijo Ya' is still the biggest single from a Nigerian female rapper till date.
