The music video highlights the song's popularity as it reached 100 million streams barely 3 months into its release. Similarly, it has earned over 173 million streams on Spotify with tens of millions of streams on Audiomack and Boomplay.

'Calm Down' received an international remix as American Pop star Selena Gomez dropped a verse on the song and this has further propelled the song into the international space. Following the remix, Rema would earn his first debut on the Billboard Hot 100 peaking at NO. 74 and peaking at NO. 16 on the UK Official Singles Chart. The remix has also amassed over 141 million streams on Spotify.
