But with every week, comes a ton of new music and it only takes scratching beneath the big names to discover the gems that Nigerian artistes have to offer in abundance.

Here are 10 new songs and 3 Projects you need to listen to this week.

1. Fikayo - 'Reply'

Fikayo is an afropop/afrofusion artiste whose 2016 single, 'Juju' made it as a soundtrack on an episode of the popular TV show, 'Skinny Girls in Transit'.

The talented singer is back with a new single after taking a break from music because of school, with the song titled, 'Reply', whichis the first single from his forthcoming EP expected to be released in August.

'Reply' is produced by The Vicious Klintt and engineered by Mema.

2. Kamal - 'With You'

Kamal, popularly known by the moniker, Babyboi is a talented singer and music producer, who has been on the scene for a while.

Kamal released his debut effort, 'Alternative Story' EP in 2016 and has worked on songs for MTV Shuga season 6 and he makes his 2018 premiere with the ultra smooth alternative joint, 'With You'.

The self-produced record is built on rhythmic guitar tune with percussion and dope vocals.

3. Nonso Amadi - 'No Crime'

Nonso Amadi is steadily growing from the 'Soundcloud Artist' to 'The Artist'.

The talented singer released his debut project, the ''Alone EP'' in 2015 and has enjoyed a steady rise especially with his single, 'Tonight'.

Nonso Amadi is out with his new single, ''No Crime'', where his lover boy personae returns to charm the heart of the ladies with his smooth voice.

4. Terry Apala - 'Keep Them Talking'

Indigenous artist, Terry Apala is back with this banger titled, ''Keep Them Talking''.

The singer who serves a blend of Trap music, with the local delivery of Apala, delivers this lovely joint that features a mix of the trending Shaku Shaku feel.

5. CHx - 'Gas' feat. Paybac and ODC

The masked producer/artiste, CHx who is consistently putting out songs unleashes a new one titled, 'Gas'.

'Gas' feature rappers, Paybac and ODC and the duo bring their different rap styles to a right mix on the joint.

6. Alpha - 'YahooBoy Muzik'

Alpha is one young rapper who surely has the skills to start a fire.

On his new single, ''YahooBoy Muzik'', which serves as a lead single to his forthcoming album, Half Price, due for release at the end of the month, he humorously tells the story of a day in the life of a fictitious Nigerian cyber scammer.

On a larger scale, the song is a conscious joint cleverly disguised with funny lines, and I think it represents a step forward in the current conversation about curtailing cybercrime, and curbing negative impressions of the "Nigerian Prince" to the outside world.

7. Olakira - 'Hey Lover'

U & I Music's new signing, Ade Ebenezer, also known as, Olakira unveils two new singles 'Hey Lover'  and 'Flirty Signal'.

'Hey Lover' is the love anthem delivered in a mix of English and Pidgin languages as he declares that his love for his woman is not by mouth. The song is produced by Simba Tagz.

On the self produced 'Flirty Signal', he wears a different garment as the upbeat tune shows his more playful and lover boy side.

8. Philip Noel - 'Rockstone' feat. Siam Hurlock Noel

London based gospel act, Philip Noel releases this praise melody titled 'RockStone' featuring Siam Hurklock Noel, delivered in a blend of reggae style.

The Soul 100 Records artist has previously released 'Walking In My Blessing' and 'Dance And Praise'.

9.  Dew Shmurda - 'Caro' feat. Freshkhd x Slimzy_A

There is a feel of Davido's 'Assurance' bassline on this as the trio of Dew Shmurda, Freshkhd and Slimzy_A go in search of 'Caro'.

10. DMJ - 'Make It'

Young rapper, DMJ just wants to 'Make It' in life and really, that is never too much to ask for.

Rhyming, ''I have a big dream, one day I gon blow'', he lays his ambitions deftly on wax.

Lord G.E.M - 'The Closure'

Lord G.E.M is one emcee who has been around for quite a while, the skilled rapper who combines his day job with studio time comes through on this new body of work, titled, ''The Closure''.

The Closure is an eight track EP that features fellow Benin veteran rapper, Duno, ODC and his gifted sister, Chellez with production from Michael Excel.

The project covers his love for his wife, his family and pure lyrical exhibition with 'Shin3 On' as one of the standout cuts.

Kehinde - 'Expert Life'

Multi talented artist, Kehinde releases his new project titled, ''Expert Life''.

The body of work which he says is dedicated to the creator of man contains 6 songs and features young act, Straffiti.

The project begins with the spiritual 'Destiny', and cuts across a range of conscious and inspiring songs.

Dean Kelechi Nwokocha, aka DeanKelly perfectly captivates all those feelings of light-headedness when meeting the one for the first time, through his latest EP, ‘The MissTape’.

‘Senorita’ and lead single, ‘Ogogoro’ inject boldness to the ambient trademark, where DeanKelly’s calm-and-collected vocal adding that spine tingling sensation across the project.
