It would be recalled that the movie was banned by the NFVCB about a week ago because the temporary approval given for the movie exhibition had expired.

The Board offered an explanation following the social media outrage that greeted the suspension of the movie which hit cinemas on December 25, 2019.

The issue had become a trending topic on Twitter, as Nigerians clamoured for the return of the movie in cinemas with hashtag #BringSugarRushback.
