Lil Wayne says he has traced his original roots to Nigeria.

The music star made this known during an interview with Rapper N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN who both host the 'Drink Champ' show on Revolt TV. N.O.R.E. had asked the rapper why he mentioned Nigeria in the lyrics of one of his hit songs.

"Shout out to Nigeria, I did my 23 and me ancestry dot com and my shit came back like 53% Nigerian. Yea! Me and my mum need to have a talk (Laughter)," he said.

He was then asked if he has ever been to Nigeria and he responded by saying he can't wait to visit. ''I gat to go to Nigeria...I gat to go see that place," he said.

We hope Lil Wayne finally gets to visit Nigeria soon as this is not the first time he would be talking about the country. Recall that a few weeks ago, he had revealed his plans to visit the country.

Well, 2020 is still very young and like the saying goes 'never say never' as Lil Wayne might pull a surprise concert on us. We know a lot of people are yet to recover from Cardi B's visit to Nigeria back in 2019.
