A married New Jersey teacher, Lauren Mitchell, has been accused of having “inappropriate sexual activity”, including oral sex, with a female teen student from her school.

According to Bergen County Prosecutor, John L. Molinelli, Mitchell, who is a second-grade teacher at Dr. Lena Edwards Academic Charter School in Jersey City, was arrested Friday, and charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigators say the 32-year-old teacher allegedly engaged in sexual activities with the 15-year-old student at her residence at least one time.
Mitchell allegedly performed oral sex on one another, authorities say.

Their “inappropriate sexual activity” became known when fellow teachers at the school noticed “inappropriate interactions” between Mitchell and the alleged victim during a recent class trip.
The teachers reported to authorities leading to the investigations and her arrest.
Mitchell will be arraigned on July 7.
