7 famous people who have been spotted at Pastor’s House on the Rock
The church has had visits from Tony Blair, Goodluck Jonathan, Majek Fashek to name a few.
This title is not just based on its size, following, or major events like the Experience, it is also about the personalities it has attracted.
Here are some of the famous people that have been spotted at this church.
Don Moen: In 2013, the church had its opening ceremony. This event was attended by gospel singer, Moen.
Tony Blair: The former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom was at the opening ceremony. He gave a speech too. In his words, “Nigeria should be hopeful because of its people. Nigeria will be built on the strength and dedication of Nigerians. There is no progress in the midst of violence.”
Goodluck Jonathan: The event also attracted the Nigerian President at the time, Goodluck Jonathan. He not only cut the ribbon, he also gave a moving speech saying, “I appreciate all for giving me the opportunity. I thank all Nigerians for what they are doing for the country. Because of the intercessory prayers, the country is stabilised. When we work hard, we will take our country where we want it to be."
Majek Fashek: The church got a visit from Nigerian music legend, Fashek, who was spotted during service.
Fela Durotoye: Popular motivational speaker, and coach, is a permanent fixture at the church. Reportedly, he serves as a pastor occasionally. He is also a consultant and the Chief Executive Officer of Visible Impact Limited.
Tara Fela-Durotoye: Any makeup lover definitely knows this name. She is the founder of House of Tara beauty brand and a major member of the church. As you may have guessed, she is married to aforementioned husband, Fela.
Celebrities: This last spot is reserved for the numerous celebrities that have been spotted at the church. They include Sammie Okposo, Timi Dakolo, TY Bello, Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha, Ik Osakhioduwa, Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Ufuoma Ejenebor-McDermott, Chidi Mokeme and Seun Obe.
Actress Judith Audu, Uche Nnaji, Ubi Franklin, Chuddy K, Toke Makinwa, Gideon Okeke, Omoni Oboli and OC Ukeje have also been spotted at the church.
