The WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight champion was scheduled to make a mandatory defence of his title against the 33-year-old Bulgarian in Hamburg on September 6.

But earlier this week, Klitschko announced that he needed to postpone the bout after suffering a torn muscle fibre in his left biceps but hoped to take Pulev on before the end of the year.

And, on Wednesday, the 38-year-old revealed the fight will take place just over two months later than originally planned.

Klitschko wrote on his official Facebook page: "Injury update: I'm glad to announce November 15th for the new date of my fight against Kubrat Pulev in Hamburg.

"I hope to recover from my injury quickly to get back into training in a couple of weeks.
