Nigerians need to stop posting hate speech on blogs and social media
You know it and we know it, social media in Nigeria is sliding into a territory many of us are afraid to follow. You probably can’t scroll through the comment section of any blog without coming across words so hateful they will leave you shocked. Not to mention hurt and offended.
And you wonder why/how/when did Nigerians became such bitter and intolerant people?
Well, thankfully the days of spreading hate and feeding trolls would be over soon as Nigerians have come together to start a campaign to sway the way we communicate on our social media in 2016.
Launched by Dolorem & Ipsum #ToleranceClass is a social movement designed to curb tribal, gender and religious hate speech on Nigerian blogs and social media.
In a bid to preach and encourage tolerance and mutual respect, these amazing people released a video featuring celebrities, and social media influencer's to teach the next generation to respect their fellow Nigerians, so that religion, tribe, gender would not become weapons in the hands of anonymous assailant hiding behind the screen.
