Singer wins 8 trophies at 2015 Billboard Music Awards

25 year old American singer-songwriter and actress, Taylor Alison Swift has emerged the biggest winner at the 2015 Billboard Music Award on Sunday, May 17, 2015 in the United States of America.

Winning a total of eight awards on the night, the singer led the list of top winners at the music award ceremony that held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Other top winners at the music award ceremony are Pharrell Williams, Sam Smith, One Direction and John Legend, who all went home with two awards each.

Swift won in categories that include Top Female artist, Billboard Chart Achievement Award, Top Billboard 200 album, Top Billboard 200 artist, Top 100 Hot artist, Top digital songs artist and Top streaming song (video).

Swift was raised in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania after which she moved to Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 14 to pursue a career in country music.
