Liverpool on Sunday, October 4 announced the sacking of their manager Brendan Rodgers just few hours after their 1-1 draw at Everton.

The club in its statement revealed that ‘the search for a new manager is underway’.

These are five candidates for the job

1. Jurgen Klopp

The German is the favourite for the job and could be the perfect candidate Liverpool.

Klopp has been out of job since he quit Bundeliga side Borussia Dortmund to take a sabbatical.

He has won Bundesliga twice, the DFB-Pokal, DFL-Supercup, and finished runner-up in the UEFA Champions League.

2. Carlo Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti is a bonafide world class who is a dream for any side in the world.

He has been reportedly approached by the Liverpool owners but it is not known yet if he has agreed to replace Rodgers.

The vastly-experienced Italian has managed the likes of Juventus, ACMilan, Chelsea and RealMadrid.

He has won three UEFA Champions League titles, league and cup titles in Italy, England, Spain.

3. Frank De Boer

Former Dutch international is currently coach of Ajax where he has won four consecutive Eredivisie titles.

He is eager for a move to England and has been linked with Newcastle and Liverpool in recent months.

4. Ronald Koeman

Liverpool have been raiding Southampton for players in recent years, maybe it’s time they raid them for their manager too.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has been linked with the vacant Liverpool job also.

He has won the with Eredivisie  with Ajax (2), and PSV,  KNVBCup, DutchSuperCup (2), PortugueseSuperCup and the CopadelRey.

5. Diego Simeone

Coach of Atletico Madrid Diego Simeone has also been mention for the job but it is unlikely he will be leaving his La Liga side for the vacant post at Liverpool.

He won two Argentine Primera Division, the  UEFA Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, La Liga, Copa del Rey and Supercopa de Espana.
