F1 World champion splits from former Pussycat Dolls star, Nicole Scherzinger

Unlike British number tennis player Andy Murray who is planning for a wedding this year, native and Formula OneWorld champion, Lewis Hamilton has broken up with long-time girlfriend, Nicole Scherzinger.

A split for the fourth time since their relationship which began seven years ago, reports followed with reasons of why they could have separated.

The Mirror claims that she dumped him because he refused to marry her while Daily Mail says she left due to the pressure of a long distance relationship.

Nicole lives in Los Angeles while Lewis lives in Monaco.

A source said “It really is over this time,” since Hamilton, 30 was never looking like he would propose to her and Nicole, 36, is said to be ‘’really upset’’

'They’d been fighting for months but things had got much worse.

'She finally had enough. Nicole knew Lewis had no plans to marry her, she's completely gutted and feels lost about her future.'

They both got some time away from each other with Nicole, a former X-Factor judge joining another musical show Cast of Cats in the West End.

Hamilton admitted feeling pressure but would not relent on title ambitions

'I’m certainly feeling pressure, heat from family members.

'But Nicole’s massively focused on her work the same as I am. We’re happy just way we are.

'Nicole is going to be working hard in London. I get a break,” he told E! during the Rihanna Diamond ball.

He hinted this week of a possible split before they called it quits.

'You hear about people who achieve a lot but then lose their focus and you wonder at what point does it fade off. I’m grateful that the fire is still there within me.

'I think subconsciously the taste of success spurs me on. I like that feeling and I want to feel it again and again.'

A source close to Nicole told Mailonline that the decision to split was mutual.

'It was a mutual decision. The long distance kept them apart for long periods of time.

'They both spent most of their time alone because they were in different countries all the time. Nicole is heartbroken and devastated.'
