UEFA on Tuesday, August 14 revealed the 12 nominees for the European football governing body goal of the season.

The 12 nominees were taken from the different competitions organized by UEFA with Ronaldo’s goal leading the way.

Ronaldo’s former teammate Champions League was unlucky not be among the nominees for his goal against Liverpool in the final of the 2018 Champions League final.

Ronaldo’s goal against Juventus in the first quarterfinal of the Champions League was chosen alongside, a shot scored by Christian Eriksen for Denmark in their World Cup qualifier against the Republic of Ireland.

Cristiano Ronaldo has since signed for Juventus and is expected to make his debut in Serie A against Chievo on Saturday, August 18.
