San Antonio Spurs still hungry - Manu Ginobili

The San Antonio Spurs remain as hungry as ever after their NBA championship-winning season, according to Manu Ginobili.

San Antonio clinched the NBA Finals with a dominant win over the Miami Heat in June, claiming the series 4-1.

It was San Antonio's first since 2007 and fifth in total - fourth in the all-time list behind the Boston Celtics (17).

Speaking ahead of Wednesday's pre-season opener against Alba Berlin, shooting guard Ginobili said the Spurs' desire had not diminished heading into the 2014-15 campaign.

"The challenge is the same as always," Ginobili told reporters in Berlin.

"We always want to win, regardless what happened the year before, the difference this year is that we really finished at a high level.

"Hopefully that system and that way of sharing the ball carries on and we start the year like that, so that's the biggest challenge.

"Don't be satisfied with what we accomplished four months ago, be as hungry and as upset with the same desire to win a championship."

Ginobili, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan were all integral to San Antonio's triumphant season.

But star point guard Parker believes the Spurs are no longer reliant on the "big three".

"I think we have a whole team now and we do it together," said Parker.

"[Kawhi] Leonard is playing better and better, Danny Green, Patty Mills, Tiago Splitter - we've got a lot of guys who can contribute and be effective."
