Liberian-American Ebola Victim, Patrick Sawyer Knew He Was Infected When Entering Nigeria

Reports have it that Liberian-American, Patrick Sawyer, who brought the Ebola Virus into Nigeria, knew that he was sick before he embarked on the trip from his country.

This disclosure was made by the Nigerian Minister of Health, Onyebuchi Chukwu, during an emergency meeting with the House of Representatives Committee on Health over the Ebola outbreak.

Chukwu also said that Mr. Sawyer had been advised not to travel by the Liberian Health Ministry but he ignored the directive. A previous report claimed that the 40-year-old naturalized American had been seen stained with his sister's blood after she died from Ebola.

The disease has claimed 2 lives in Nigeria and the outbreak has been described as a national emergency.
