Former Packers guard Sitton agrees to deal with Bears

Josh Sitton is staying in the NFC North after the former Green Bay Packers guard agreed to a three-year deal with the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

As first reported by Sporting News, Sitton signed with Green Bay's rivals.

Sitton was surprisingly released by the Packers on Saturday.

The three-time Pro Bowler, including selections to the last two league all-star games, was entering the final year of a five-year, $33.75million contract.

His cap hit this year in Green Bay would have been $6.85m.

The new deal is worth $21.75m with $10m guaranteed, which was first reported by ESPN and confirmed by Omnisport.

Chicago now have what would be the best guard tandem in the league with Sitton as left guard joining fellow three-time Pro Bowler Kyle Long, who received a four-year extension worth $40m over the weekend.
