Nigerian polo players testing Africa Beach Polo field

Nigerian Polo players, Yinka Alakija and Neku Atawodi recently went on a testing trip to Africa Beach Polo field.

Atawodi is a Nigerian female polo player.

She is popular for being one of the few black female polo players in the world. She studied for an equestrian degree and at Regent's College London and plays polo internationally.[3][4]

Uneku organised the first ever female tournament to be held in West Africa, thus creating awareness about the sport in Africa.

Alakija started riding at the age of four and became a Professional at age 9. He has participated in Major Tournament at age 11 and have been riding polo for over 25 years.
