South Sydney Rabbitohs half-back Adam Reynolds said he is ready for State of Origin after being named as one of five NSW Blues debutants for next week's series opener.

Reynolds and fellow rookies Tyson Frizell, Josh Mansour, Matt Moylan and Dylan Walker were included in the 19-man squad on Monday as Laurie Daley's men seek to bounce back from last year's 2-1 series loss to Queensland Maroons.

Injury denied Reynolds a Blues place last season but a month after suffering a broken jaw he has been drafted into the squad for the June 1 blockbuster in Sydney – the 25-year-old boasting over 100 NRL games, as well two All-Star appearances.

"I didn't feel ready until last year, I feel ready now," said Reynolds.

"I have played in a Grand Final so I am used to the pressure. I am looking forward to the week and getting out there.

"I have always wanted this as a kid, I used to idolise [Blues legends] Freddy [Brad Fittler] and Joey [Andrew Johns].

"Every kid in NSW wants to pull on the sky blue and now I have that chance. I just can't wait."
