This Law Enforcement Appreciation Day promotion is done yearly- May 13, coinciding with the National Police Week - by the US Sports wear company for police officers offering 30% discounts to them at personnel at Nike stores.

This good gesture however comes at a time this year when police brutality in America especially on African American men has been in the spotlight.

Nike are now on the end of an online backlash which has been promoted with the hashtag #blacklivesmatter.
