Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck had a dreadful game, throwing three interceptions and fumbling the ball once, as the New York Jets won 20-7 on Monday.

It took Luck over three quarters to get into the groove at Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium but the 26-year-old gave the hosts some hope when he led them on a 91-yard drive for a touchdown, only for Brandon Marshall to get on the end of a Ryan Fitzpatrick pass and clinch a 13-point win for the Jets.

The Colts' offence ranked third in total yards and sixth in scoring last year, while they were only held to less than 20 points twice.

But Luck and Co. slumped to a 0-2 win-loss record, as the Jets' defence claimed three picks and forced two fumbles.

The Jets pressured Luck into an interception on the Colts' first series when Buster Skrine came on a corner blitz, causing the hosts' QB to throw high to Andre Johnson, who tipped the ball in the air.

Jets safety Calvin Pryor picked it off and surged to within nine yards of the end zone, setting up a six-yard touchdown pass from Fitzpatrick to Eric Decker.

Fitzpatrick would finish with 22-of-34 for 244 yards and two TDs, while Decker also impressed, catching eight passes for 97 yards as the Jets moved to 2-0.

Luck ended the game 21-of-37 for 250 yards.

The Colts finally scored with 10:07 remaining when Luck hit a crossing Donte Moncrief for a 26-yard touchdown to make it a 10-7 ballgame but it meant little as the visitors scored on their next drive before Luck was picked off for the third time.
