Barcelona star wins La Liga player of the Month award

Isn’t it surprising that no Barcelona player has ever won the La Liga Player of the Month award since its inception in 2013?

Thanks to Neymar, that has changed now. The 23-year-old has won the November edition of the award.

The awards organsiers were criticised all through last season, after Barcelona players were ignored months after months as they went on to win the La Liga,Copa del Rey and Champions League.

Neymar in the month of November scored five goals in three La Liga games and two assists.

Diego Costa was the first player to win the award when the Spanish League (LFP) came up with the idea in 2013.
