Putting all the rumours of Nokia’s Android phone release to rest, Nokia China’s President, Mike Wang has opened up on its latest plans.

According to gforgames, he confirmed that the mobile phone company will be using its factories located in Sichuan, China to design and manufacture state of the art Nokia smart phones that will be powered by Android next year-2016

Wang also stated that Nokia’s global Research &Development- R&D centre will be moved to Sichuan, China to commence production.

Industry watchers say Nokia’s move to China will pitch it against other big names in China like Xiaomi, Lenovo, Oppo and ZTE.

Whichever way this branded tech war, that is about to brew goes, it has been confirmed that there will be a new Android smart phone designed and manufactured by Nokia, with its brand name on it, in 2016.
