Motorola’s parent company, Lenovo, has announced the date for the unveiling of the next generation of the Moto 360 smartwatch: September 8.
This date is between between IFA, the giant consumer electronics show in Berlin, and Apple's event, which will be held on September 9.
Lenovo announced the September 8 date and teased a new, gold-looking Moto 360, in a post on the company's Weibo account (via Twitter).
The new Moto 360 smartwatch is expected to come in at least two models: a new larger edition, the 360L, and a smaller one, the 360S, which may stand for "Sport."
Business Insider reports that images of both models have leaked showing similar ideas to the Moto 360 with a "flat tire" display cutting the bottom off an otherwise round design.

There has been much speculation about which of the rumored models will be unveiled at the September 8 event with a suggestion that the 360 Sport may not even be available until November.
