Speculation is that Google is particularly interested in Twitch, which is the world's leading video platform and community for gamers with more than 45 million visitors per month even if it means paying the some of One Billion US Dollars to acquire it. Twitch.tv, a video game broadcasting service launched in 2011 as a video game, or video game competition, broadcasting branch of Justin.tv, which is a personal streaming service website similar to Ustream.

Some of the fun things on Twitch include that gamers can create their own Twitch channels to broadcast live PC or console gameplay or even host their own video game-themed video podcast programs for others to watch. Moving forward, the new twitch console app built for PS4 and Xbox One will also make streaming without a PC possible. You can just upload to Twitch straight from the machine.  Is that a threat to You Tube?

Why is You Tube Desperate For Twitch?Google’s YouTube service is still the foremost when it comes to streaming video, but obviously, Google definitely sees the emergence of live-streaming, particularly video games a worthy business to invest in.

Google launched a streaming gaming service last year but the outcome obviously wasn’t exactly successful.  A reason that led Google to negotiating acquiring Twitch, whose broadcasters roll into millions on site for $1 Billion.

When is this happening? This weekend’s report out of The Wall Street Journal claims that talks between Google and Twitch “are at an early stage, and a deal isn’t imminent.” So your guess is as good as ours as to when it might get done. The game only just started.
