Tech company to launch OneTouch Flash 2 smartphone on September 22
Do you remember Alcatel? It was one of the ‘reigning’ phones during the early days of the GSM revolution in Nigeria.
The company is now known as Alcatel OneTouch and it has announced that its upcoming Flash 2 smartphone will be launching on September 22.
The company has stated that the upcoming Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 will be announced at an online press conference which will be live streamed at the company website.
According to NDTV Gadgets, the company confirms that the OneTouch Flash 2 smartphone will feature a 5-inch display, in an email sent to media.
Another report reveals that the company's teaser images for the handset include a tagline that says, "The power of green."
The Alcatel OneTouch Flash, which precedes the new device, was unveiled in September last year. That device ran Android 4.4 KitKat and came with a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels; powered by an octa-core 1.4GHz MediaTek MTK6592M processor; 1GB of RAM; a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash; 5-megapixel front-facing camera; 8GB internal storage; expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB); Wi-Fi; Bluetooth; GPRS/ EDGE; GPS; 3G, and a 3200mAh battery.
According to NDTV Gadgets, Alcatel OneTouch, earlier this month, announced a bunch of new devices at the IFA2015 trade show. The devices launched were the Alcatel OneTouch Pop Star, OneTouch Pop Up, OneTouch Idol 3C, Pixi First, and OneTouch Go Play smartphones, and 17.3-inch OneTouch Xess tablet.
